Jersey Trees for Life holds a tree care and maintenance session at Val de la Mare on the first Friday of each month from April to November. The sessions suit anyone interested in tree care, or those who simply fancy getting out into the fresh air for a few hours' gentle exercise on an autumn or winter morning.
The tasks vary according to ongoing priorities but generally include mulching, path clearing and removing bracken, brambles, ivy and nettles, as well as watering.
