Give It a Whirl! with Jersey Lilies Mixed Morris

A relaxed, hands-on evening learning simple morris dances with sticks and hankies, open to complete beginners curious about a centuries-old tradition.
An evening of dancing, clashing sticks, waving hankies and having a good time, hosted by the Jersey Lilies Mixed Morris, where visitors can have a go at morris dancing.
The roots of morris dancing are lost in the mists of time, but the tradition has a recorded history dating back more than five hundred years. Over the centuries it has constantly evolved, spawning new dances and adopting new styles of dress as fashions changed. The result is the vibrant tradition of performance dancing that exists today.
Rather than watching from the sidelines, everyone is encouraged to join in. No previous experience is needed; during this fun, immersive evening participants have the chance to learn some simple dances themselves.
