Jersey Tidal Trail | 5-Day Sea Kayaking Adventure

with Jersey Kayak Adventures

On the Visitor Map
Sea kayakers at Corbiere lighthouse

A guided five-day sea kayaking trip for intermediate paddlers, exploring caves, coves and Jersey's tide-shaped coastline from a new starting point each day.

Jersey, the island of the tides, can be explored by sea kayak over five days, on a coastline that is always changing. The trip suits intermediate-level paddlers. Expert local staff guide paddlers through different conditions and share stories about the area's history and wildlife.

When the sea goes out, Jersey almost doubles in size. This reveals new scenery and landmarks, each with its own dramatic story and history.

Experienced local guides lead the group to hidden caves and quiet coves.

Each day the group sets out from a new spot, so paddlers can see what lies around every headland and watch the coastline change with the tides. Along the way, the guides help paddlers through different conditions and talk about local history and wildlife.

Participants should have some kayaking experience and be able to paddle 5 to 8 miles or more each day. The course also welcomes less experienced paddlers who want to improve quickly over a few days. Paddlers need to be fit, eager to learn new skills and ready for some challenging conditions. Anyone not quite ready for the intermediate level may be moved to another trip so that everyone has a good experience. Other dates are available on request.

All equipment is included in the price of £725, with a choice of a sit-on-top or sit-inside sea kayak. Paddlers who bring their own kayak and gear receive a £150 discount.
