Flavours of Jersey: Foodie Tour with a Twist
with Jersey Uncovered

A guided walk through St Helier to the Victorian Central Market, tasting oysters, cheeses, breads and Jersey Wonders alongside the island's history.
The Jersey Uncovered 'Flavours of Jersey: Foodie Tour with a Twist' is a guided tasting walk that celebrates the island's food culture and the stories behind it. From the fresh brininess of oysters lifted straight from Jersey's clean tidal waters to creamy artisan cheeses, handcrafted breads and the much-loved Jersey Wonder, each flavour reveals a chapter of the island's heritage.
The tour begins in Liberation Square, at the heart of St Helier, next to the statue that celebrates the island's Liberation on 9 May 1945. As the group wanders the town's winding lanes and lively streets, the guide shares the tale of the saint who gave the town its name, along with the history that shaped Jersey's identity, from traders and fishing fleets to farmers and flower growers.
The route then leads to the grand Victorian Central Market, full of colour and fragrance beneath its iron and glass roof. Here, stalls are piled with Jersey produce: fruit, fragrant herbs, fresh vegetables and flowers in bloom. It is here that visitors taste some of the island's signature treats, each chosen to showcase the richness of Jersey's land and sea.
As well as a tasting tour, it offers a close look at island life, suited to the curious and anyone keen to try the flavours islanders love.
